Sherman G. Ruth, Sr.

Sherman G. Ruth, Sr. is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a 1989 graduate of Capitol Senior High School. Sherman attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. He later enrolled at the Southern University Law Center. Upon graduating from the Southern University Law Center, Sherman became employed as an Assistant Parish Attorney. While working in the Parish Attorney’s Office, Sherman worked in the Property and Litigation Section. Sherman went into the private sector and became the Executive Director of the Louisiana Leadership Institute, a 501(C)3 non profit youth organization. In 2012 he served as the Executive Director of the Dr. Leo S. Butler Community Center, a subdivision of the City of Baton Rouge, under the appointment of Councilwoman Tara Wicker. Currently, Sherman is the CEO of Hope Marketing International Inc, Sherman Gerald Custom Clothier, and KTS Investment Group. Sherman is a Licensed Realtor with eXp Realty and a member of the Adam Olsen Team. Sherman is the father of three children Ki’erra Rankins- Campbell, Triniti C’Ne Ruth, and Sherman G. Ruth II
